Welcome to EIN SOF...

Introduction to Ein Sof:

Recommended Books on Kabbalah:

Ein Sof (sometimes transliterated as Ayn Sof) refers to the infinite Divine (or G_d).  In Hebrew Ein Sof means "Boundlessness", but is usually translated as "Without End."  Often it is referred to as the "Infinite No-Thingness."  It should be understood that this does NOT mean that Ein Sof is "nothing" for It is NOT a THING, but is a "somethingness" that we cannot define in human terms. Ein Sof, in the Kabbalistic tradition, is the ultimate source of all creation or existence!

Ein Sof Information website:

Ayn Sof Information contains a number of articles and publications on Jewish Mysticism (Kabbalah) by some well known and respected authors and Rabbis!  There may be more articles published at this website in the next few months. Check out the recent additions. The url address for this site is www.aynsof.info

If you desire to learn more about Jewish Mysticism and cannot attend a local class in your area regarding Kabbalah (although it is often difficult to obtain an understanding of Hebrew Mysticism from a reading a book or looking at a website), the following materials are highly recommended:

God Is A Verb - by Rabbi David A. Cooper

The Essential Kabbalah - By Daniel C. Matt

The Practical Kabbalah - by Rabbi Liabl Wolf

Reading these books will help you to gain an introductory foundation upon which to continue your studies. Start with "God Is A Verb", read the other two then re-read "God Is A Verb" - as it is a well rounded and comprehensive introduction to Kabbalah from the Jewish perspective. Further, the material, as presented by Rabbi Cooper, will be clearer to you the second time whether you read these or other source materials.

A Comment:

Here are a few hyperlinks to some Jewish Retreat and Spiritual Educational Centers. There are also a number websites specifically dedicated to Kabbalah that are relatively decent, but not all of them are listed here presently.  Perhaps they will be added sometime in the future when more time can be devoted to this task.

This section includes photographic work which expresses the beauty of Hashem's Creations. Most of the photo's are taken with a Fuji Digital S602 Pro Zoom camera. However, some pictures were scanned from a Minolta Maxxum 8000I 35mm SLR or a 6X6 medium format camera. The photo's in this gallery are high resolution and they are best viewed at 1024 X 768 or higher.  Also, due to the size of some of the files, a broadband connection is highly recommended.

For anyone desiring to learn more about Kabbalah and if you live in the San Francisco Bay area, please make contact with the administrator of this site by using the feedback form.  If requested, you will receive information regarding area teachings, davening, chanting, & drumming groups, etc.

Due to the ever present internet spam no email addresses are listed on this site. Please use the Website Feedback Page.

NOTE: Eventually a schedule of events or lectures regarding Jewish mystical teachings may also be listed here. You will find information, resources and links to articles from ongoing research that will lead you to a greater understanding of Jewish mysticism and its view of Ein Sof.
